Amazing

My first memories of the Olympics was the 1980 “Miracle on Ice”. My friend Paul (who is now deceased from Muscular Dystrophy. I mention this so you have the opportunity to donate to MDA.) thought this was a really big deal. I personally didn’t care as I was only 12 at the time.
I became intrigued by the games in 1996 when the Olympics came to Atlanta. I was traveling quite a bit and always connecting through Atlanta and it was obviously a big deal. I decided to watch and discovered a “feel good, great to be an American” emotion I’d never had before.
Now, with the advent of HD TV, fantastic story telling, and appealing athletes like Shaun White, Apolo Ohno and Lindsey Vonn, the Olympic games is a spectacle that can’t be topped.
